Getting to the Common Sense

Common sense tip for today: DON'T SAY SOMETHING WITHOUT THINKING!
Yeah, I know, that is really common sense, but honestly, how many times do you just let something slip without regard to what someone is feeling? I'm willing to bet it's happened at least once today.
Because of this little piece of common sense ignored, I got into a disagreement with my step-mom about something a couple of nights ago, all because she said something that should've been kept to herself. Things were kind of awkward for a bit, but she apologized today, which is super cool. It's not easy to do something like that.
So I shall repeat myself: think about what you are saying and if it will fracture your friendship with someone. Words go a long way.

A collaboration of weird or just plain hilarious people have said over the years (definitely subject to be added to, I'm probably forgetting some):

Taylor: "Can I have a piece of pencil?" As she points to a notebook.

Alycia: "I know it by heart!" As she points to her head...

Ross: "Oh, geezus!'

Kevin: "WHERE?!"

Geometry teacher: "There is no A.S.S. congruency postulate!" (Kids laugh, he writes it on the board, kids write on their paper... goes off on a rant on how it's not correct, then:) "I better erase this before the wrong person walks in, you better make sure that doesn't fall into the wrong hands."

Geometry teacher: "If you do that, I shall eradicate you from the room."

Student 1: What does eradicate mean?

Geometry teacher: Well, in the context I used it, what would you say it means?

Student 2: Remove.

Student 1: Disembowel.

Geometry teacher: Yes, remove would be correct.

Geometry teacher: "There are a plethora of postulates you could use." (the p's usually fly with a little spit)
